Terms of use
The rules for using this site and the newsletter. Last updated: [DATE AT LAUNCH].
Not medical advice
Mostly Microbe reports and explains research about the gut microbiome. Nothing on this site or in the newsletter is medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation. Don't start, stop or change a treatment, diet or supplement because of something you read here without talking to a qualified health professional. If you have symptoms such as blood in your stool, a lasting change in bowel habit, unexplained weight loss or severe pain, see a doctor.
How to read our content
Our 1 to 5 evidence ratings describe the type of study behind a finding, not a promise that the finding is true or will apply to you. Research changes, and we update pages when it does, but some content will be out of date at any given time. We link to primary sources so you can check them yourself. Verdicts on claims are our editorial opinion.
Independence
We don't sell tests, supplements or other products. We don't accept payment to cover or rate anything in our editorial content, and we don't use affiliate links. If that ever changes, we'll say so clearly on the page concerned.
Corrections
If you spot an error, write to privacy@mostlymicrobe.com with a link to the source. We correct mistakes and note significant corrections on the page.
Using our content
Content on this site is the property of Mostly Microbe unless stated otherwise. You're welcome to quote short passages with a link back to the page. Please ask before republishing whole articles or guides.
Links to other sites
We link to studies, regulators and other sources. We're not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
The newsletter
The newsletter is free. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. How we handle subscriber data is explained in our privacy policy.
Liability
We work to keep information accurate, but the site is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for decisions you make based on it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be excluded by law.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. These terms are governed by Spanish law, without removing any protection the law of your country gives you as a consumer.
